Professional Background
With over 20 years of instructional experience, Dustin Silzer has dedicated his career to martial arts, self-defence, defensive tactics, and professional development training. His extensive background combines practical experience in protective services with specialized instructor certifications and training under internationally recognized experts.
As an international instructor, Defence Lab CREW Member, and Canadian National Director of Personnel for Defence Lab, Dustin is committed to delivering realistic, effective, and professionally structured training programs.
His instructional approach emphasizes real-world application, sound decision-making, situational awareness, professional communication, and the lawful and appropriate use of force.
Throughout his career, Dustin has developed and delivered training programs, certification courses, and specialized seminars for government agencies, protective services personnel, private security organizations, and members of the public.
Professional Recognition & Qualifications
Dustin is a recognized instructor in use of force, defensive tactics, and self-defence through the Saskatchewan Ministry of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety and Alberta Public Safety and Emergency Services.
He is also an accredited Saskatchewan Basic Security Guard Course Provider (#156) and a member of the International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association (ILEETA).
His professional qualifications encompass security training, defensive tactics, tactical instruction, professional communication, de-escalation, and specialized self-protection systems.
